Rymer Trees Ltd has unveiled new branding ahead of the 2024/25 planting season. The nursery, which has been been touting cell grown and 100% peat free practices since it began, will be known as Rymer Trees and Hedging.

Gathering feedback from the past 12 months, nursery manager and director Harry Hoblyn and sales and marketing manager Lizzie Smith have found that within the industries that Rymer Trees and Hedging provides stock to, many people are unaware their offering does not just encompass tree whips for planting projects but also hedging whips. A refreshed name and new logo aim to better communicate its offering.

“The goal is for our name to clearly explain what we are able to provide potential clients – Rymer Trees and Hedging does just that,” says Hoblyn.

The re-brand comes at a key point ahead of Rymer Trees and Hedging’s third harvest, with the 2024-2025 cell-grown planting season set to begin in late September.

The nursery is on track to hit its production goal of 300,000 tree and hedging whips for the upcoming season, with its sowing season completed in record time for the team this year and transplanting almost complete, due to be finished within the next few weeks.

To accommodate this increase in production and to fulfil new contract growing commitments the hardening off area, where transplanted seedlings are set out, has been expanded to include a second space with a third outdoor irrigation boom supplied by rainwater harvesting tanks connected to the double-span polytunnels.

The team anticipates a busy autumn and winter season, supplying into such schemes as biodiversity net gain projects, woodland management schemes and landscape design projects, alongside many other project types.
