Nature Connections launched at the Eden Project

by | 12 Jan 24 | Nature & Biodiversity, News

The Eden Project has announced a series of group activities to connect people of all ages with nature throughout January.

The Nature Connections initiative aims to improve health and wellbeing whilst providing the opportunity to learn, meet other people and observe how Eden changes throughout the winter.

The collection of nature-based activities, workshops and courses have been delivered to members of the community, many through social prescribing, professional and self-referral, since 2005.

This year welcomes the Creating Connections programme for under 25s which includes a new nature-based photography course launching on 27 January and the Wonder Workshops taking place from the 26 January. Also running is a friendly weekly walking group, specifically designed for adults who would benefit from increased activity to support their health and wellbeing.

Sam Alford, Eden’s head of nature connections, says: “It feels fantastic to be able to kickstart a new year at Eden with the launch of a whole host of activities for Nature Connections.

“We know that a visit to a green space can be beneficial to our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly during this time of the year. Having our Biomes to provide a nature-filled, biodiverse and undercover space, alongside our beautiful Outdoor Gardens and vast Outer Estate, allows us to run varied activities with something for everyone.”
