The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is teaming up with the BBC’s The One Show to launch Pocket Garden Makeover, highlighting the potential impact even the smallest of spaces can have.
The winner will have the opportunity to have their small outdoor space, be it a courtyard or balcony, transformed by a team of landscapers up to the value of £5k.
Including a consultation and design from presenter and landscape garden designer Chris Hull, also known for his role in BBC one’s Garden Rescue.
Entries are open until 5pm on Monday 25 March 2024, those interested in applying can enter themselves or nominate someone they know on their behalf.
Entrants will be required to show the impact the makeover will have on them or the person they nominate, as well as their creative vision for the space.
Both the RHS and The One Show say they want to demonstrate the positive benefits of gardening, while highlighting the importance of small outdoor spaces in helping people connect with nature.
Results will be announced on The One Show in May. To submit an entry and to read the T&Cs, visit: www.rhs.org.uk/pocketgardenmakeovercontest
