Seaside town in Sussex set to see £7m revamp

by | 20 Oct 23 | Commercial Landscaping, Landscape Architecture, News

Plans for a £7.2m seaside regeneration project in West Sussex have been submitted.

The proposed project will see a large part of Littlehampton’s seafront revitalised, with East Beach, South Terrace, Banjo Road, and Windmill Road all earmarked for improvements, alongside the seafront green.

Neilcott Construction, has been appointed to lead the design and construction phase of the Littlehampton Seafront Scheme.

The aim of the scheme is to increase public space access and amenity quality, with proposed activity areas including water play, beach volleyball and pétanque, as well as sensory play and relaxation areas.

Work on the project, funded by £7.2m from the Levelling Up Fund, is expected to begin in early 2024.

Proposals to improve the seafront were originally drawn up by Arun District Council in 2016.
