Garden designer, Lucy Willcox has partnered with Chris Hudson, managing director of Hudson Lighting, to create a portable lighting solution.
Willcox, who recently appeared on Alan Titchmarsh’s new gardening series, has designed two table lamps, a floor lamp, tree lights and wall lights as part of the Tyto light series – a name chosen for its relation to nocturnal wildlife.
Wilcox and Hudon both believe that “good garden lighting should create the perfect mood lighting and not affect the rhythms of wildlife.”
All pieces are UK designed and manufactured – each will be wildlife friendly and dark skies compliant – with all parts readily replaceable.
Willcox comments on the inspiration behind collaborating with Hudson, saying: “I have been using Chris Hudson’s lights for the gardens I design for years.
“I had a design idea in mind for a portable lighting range and contacted Chris to see if we could work together and the rest, as they say, is history.”
Wholesale Holloway of Ludlow will be the first to stock the range, which is currently in the prototype phase.
